Memorial Scholarships

The Marion J. Connors Leadership Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually by the Connors family in the amount of $1,000.
  • Scholarships are awarded to one student from each one of the Northern Worcester County Schools:  St. Anna, Leominster;  St. Leo, Leominster; St. Bernard’s, Fitchburg; and Holy Family Academy, Gardner.
  • The candidates will be nominated by members of the faculty at each elementary school as the student who best exhibits a commitment to family, friends, school, and community as Marion J. Connors exemplified in her life.

The Patrick M. Walkovich Scholarship

  • $1,000 award is a one-time non-renewable.
  • Merit-based scholarship
  • Essay requirement: topic based on extracurricular activities
  • Recipients will be notified of their selection before the start of the academic year.

The Casey J. Bernhard Memorial Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually by the Bernhard Family in the amount of $500.
  • Completed essay and application required.

 The John Mizhir, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually by the Mizher Family in the amount of $500.
  • Completed essay and application required.

Sister Joan Memorial Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $500.
  • Student must be nominated by the Principal.

Merit-based Scholarships

Alumni Association Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually by the Alumni Association in the amount of $500.
  • Essay and academic transcript required.

 The Bernardian Medal Scholarship

  • This scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $500 to the top academic student from the Northern Worcester County Schools:  St. Anna, Leominster;  St. Leo’s, Leominster; St. Bernard’s, Fitchburg; and Holy Family Academy, Gardner

The Bernardian Charitable Foundation Scholarship for Academic Excellence
(Public School 8th Graders Only)

  • Merit-based scholarship
  • Two $1,000 scholarships
  • Essay and academic transcript required

Adopt-A-Student
